Lyrics Interpretation:

From hearing those lyrics, I would think its a girl singing about a boy she likes but he's completely different to anyone shes ever met before.  It seems like she is with him  but no-one else understands him.

Ideas:

• I think this song would be really good to make a music video to because it has a really distinctive big beat and we could cut the shots to this which would look really effective.

• The lyrics are really interesting and quite original, I don't think they're cliche as they're normally a girl singing about a boy she likes but he doesn't like her whereas this is a complete contrast.  I think we could represent the lyrics quite literally but also not as literal with a deeper meaning behind it.  There are so many things you could do with these lyrics as some of them are quite dark 'Wanna be a victim, ready for abduction'.

• As the beat of this song is quite electronic/techno I think we could make the lighting look so effective with this song.  Also there is quite alot of references to light in the video: 'Lead me into the light', 'Stun me with your lasers', 'I wanna walk on your wave length' where we could use conventions from Andrew Goodwin's theory eg. representing lyrics with visuals.

• The song and the lyrics are also very futuristic with lyrics like: 'Your touch magnetizing', 'Futuristic lover', 'Your so supersonic, wanna feel your powers' and I think this is really interesting theme for costume and mise-en-scene.  We could have metallic costume and bright lights to match the atmosphere of the song.

Audience:

• I think the core target audience of this song would be female teenagers or young adults maybe between the ages of 14-23

• The target audience would be fans of mainstream chart music but also pop/electronic music and would be very up to date and interested to hear new music.

• I don't think this is the sort of song to be played in clubs, more of one to listen to one your own to allow escapism.

• The song would be markete mainly virally so it could be downloaded on iTunes as it doesn't sound very mainstream.  It could be marketed through tv adverts on more alternative tv channels eg. E4 and promoted in magazines targeted at people the same age as  our target audience.
